Coordinator for Ride the Ruby Country

Mark Betson, the coordinator for the Ride Ruby Country Project, started work at the Ruby Country Hub at Cookworthy Forest Centre on 1st September.

Mark will be working with land owners, local businesses and communities to unlock business opportunities that will become apparent with the development of the new and improved bridleways that are planned by Devon County Council in Ruby Country.

Mark will be working four days a week on the project and will be, initially, visiting all the parishes that are most likely to be able to take advantage of the developing bridleways to explain the details of the project.

“This is an exciting project and I am very keen to speak to as many people as possible over the next few weeks.” Mark continued “I shall be working closely with Devon County Council Public Rights of Way and will be able to report on the progress through the Ruby Read and other media”.

Mark can be contacted at Cookworthy on 01409 220009 or by email mark.betson@therubycountry.com
His normal work programme will be Monday through to Thursday at office hours but will be flexible to attend meetings.
