The North Devon Biosphere is Britain's first new style world class UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, where conservation and sustainable development go hand in hand.

Although the focus of the Biosphere is Braunton Burrows - one of the best dune systems in the northern hemisphere, on the North Devon coast - it is backed by a mixture of international quality habitats and ecosystems that interlink all the way to Dartmoor and Exmoor, and covers the eastern half of Ruby Country.
